Mark is a dynamic technology visionary and strategist with a comprehensive understanding of the latest networking, applications, cloud, and computer systems in the global market. His expertise in IT is paired with a deep knowledge of business operations, and P&L management. Mark has collaborated with large multinational corporations to deliver innovative and creative technology solutions and consulted for diverse projects such as mobile payment solutions, air filtration innovations, and patented IBS start-ups.
He has served as CEO for two multi-million-dollar businesses, including establishing operations in Asia and achieving profitability within nine months. Mark has successfully grown start-ups to exit, managing and mentoring technology teams to foster a supportive and thriving environment. A true technologist, he maintains a hands-on approach and is an experienced business and technology networker.
Mark has a proven track record of steering start-ups through their critical early years. His leadership style inspires, and cultivates a strong team culture with high staff retention while building effective structures. Most recently, he served as CTO/CIO at Rutherford, where he was the founding senior manager of the technical team. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare systems, his guidance led to the creation of the world’s only networked proton center operation. His role encompassed oversight of technical departments as well as the clinical imaging team, ensuring seamless integration of technology and clinical systems.
A Freeman of the City of London, Mark also holds a pilot’s license (European and USA), actively plays squash, and enjoys collecting wine as a hobby.
