About INNER
INNER: A Legacy in Innovation
INNER's technology originates from Cmosaix Ltd.,founded by Jacob Koren, a veteran of the imaging industry (Elscint, GE) and a serial entrepreneur whose prior ventures include Orex, acquired by Kodak, where Koren later served as Head of Innovation.
Tissue to Cells: A Modular Revolution Across Industries
Cmosaix's idea was to eliminate the size constraints of the existing digital x-ray detectors, due to their reliance on traditional silicon wafers; Instead, Koren introduced a modular, Lego-like detector, using off-the-shelf CMOS sensors, (which are used in smartphones), leveraging ongoing vibrant third-party R&D advancements.
This innovation led to the grant of 5 patents (US) and proprietary software and to the commercial launch of a static imaging detector to the medical (veterinary) market through a collaboration with Sedecal (Spain), across Europe. Veterinarians praised the detector’s high image quality and durability, with some noting that it elevated their clinics as second-opinion centres capable of more accurate diagnoses.
Noticing the potential of its technology across diverse fields, INNER emerged to build upon the foundation laid by Cmosaix. Recognising the opportunity to optimize these features– such as modularity, image quality and ability to leverage third party R&D – for broader applications, INNER was founded in November 2022, and inherited all intellectual property from Cmosaix. INNER has been actively expanding upon this foundational technology, developing additional features and innovations for the automotive industry.
